«Yandex» withdraws revenue and EBITDA forecast for 2026 after attacks on data centers

Private draft

“Yandex” has withdrawn its previously published forecast for revenue and adjusted EBITDA for 2026. The company said this was due to additional external factors after the October attacks on data centers and stated that it may return to publishing forecasts starting next quarter.

“Yandex” said that after the October attacks on data centers it faced additional external factors that make it difficult to assess financial results through the end of the year. The company also said it will consider resuming forecast publication starting next quarter.

The company emphasized that it is maintaining its long-term strategic priorities, does not plan to revise its plans for developing key business areas, and will continue investing in new technologies and products. In its previously published forecasts, “Yandex” expected annual revenue growth of about 20% and adjusted EBITDA of around 350 billion rubles.

At the beginning of October, according to the company, Ukrainian drones attacked three of Yandex’s six data centers over the course of a week — in Sasovo, Ryazan Oblast, in Kaluga, and in Vladimir, a city in Russia. After the strikes, some services were temporarily unavailable or operated with restrictions.

As of the end of October, Yandex said that the key functions of all services are available. Engineers, according to the company, are working to restore all capabilities in full. Kommersant wrote that, according to experts, replacing equipment in the damaged data centers could take about six months.
