St. Petersburg will lift coronavirus restrictions on October 1

A message about this was published on the city administration’s website. From October 1, the decree adopted on March 13, 2020, will no longer be in effect.

St. Petersburg authorities had said the document needed to be revoked back in 2025, but they received the relevant order from the chief state sanitary doctor only now.

At the federal level, all restrictions introduced by Rospotrebnadzor during the COVID-19 pandemic were lifted on July 1, 2022. The World Health Organization declared the end of the COVID-19 pandemic on May 5, 2023.
