Explosion near the station in Augsburg injures two teenagers

According to police, the explosion occurred at 3:15 a.m. in the passage of a building near the station in Augsburg, which is located in Bavaria. As a result, two people were injured — teenagers aged 17 and 18, who sustained minor injuries. Witnesses and reporters said the epicenter was opposite the station.

Bild writes that an unknown object exploded in front of a Turkish jewelry store in the passage to the station. A police operation is underway at the scene since morning.

Train traffic was suspended after another suspicious object was found there. Police have not yet confirmed the version that the exploded object could have been a hand grenade.
