The CEO of the State Commission on Mineral Reserves, Igor Shpurov, was detained on suspicion of corruption. According to law enforcement agencies, he is accused of taking a bribe on an especially large scale.

Law enforcement agencies told Interfax that Shpurov was detained red-handed the day before. They also said that a preventive measure will be chosen for him soon.

Shpurov is accused under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — taking a bribe on an especially large scale. Investigative actions are now being carried out in the case.
