Zyuganov said in the State Duma that there is a major war and called 2029–2030 the time of Europe’s «hot offensive»

As reported by “Agentstvo”, Zyuganov made this statement during speeches by representatives of the Duma factions on current issues.

The Communist Party leader said that Russia is on the brink of a major war. He added that efforts in the economy so far do not inspire confidence in victory for him and his team.

According to Zyuganov, the war will be long and exhausting, and the one with the greater potential will win. He claimed that those who “declared war on the Russian world” have financial and economic potential ten times greater.

Zyuganov said that Russia will have to change its financial and economic course, and that the system of international relations, in his assessment, is collapsing. He also stated that European leaders understand that they cannot do without Russia’s resources, and that the European countries themselves had previously “plundered both Asia and Africa, and Latin America”.

He linked his speech to the Nuremberg trials, reminding that 80 years ago the criminals were harshly punished, but those who, in his words, declared war did not calm down. Zyuganov also said that the European countries have set the “hot offensive” for 2029–2030.

Against this backdrop, he recalled Vladimir Putin’s speech at the first session of the new convocation of the State Duma on Wednesday, when the president spoke about the task of ensuring “reliable security guarantees for many generations to come”. Earlier, Western intelligence agencies had warned of the threat of an attack by Russia on one or several NATO countries in 2029–2030.
