Ukraine reported a massive drone attack on Odesa and western regions

According to the Air Force of Ukraine, Russian forces launched more than 450 drones across the country, and the attack was still ongoing in the morning. In Poland, air raid alerts were declared in a number of eastern districts, but no violation of airspace was reported, while Romanian authorities said a drone had entered the country.

In Khmelnytskyi region, a fire broke out at an unnamed industrial facility because of the drone attack, local authorities said. No casualties were reported there.

According to Ukrainian media, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, and Lviv regions were also hit. In Lviv region, a gas station near the border with Poland was attacked, and according to a number of reports, the railway was also attacked in western Ukraine.

Odesa public pages published footage of damaged residential buildings in Odesa and Odesa region. The aftermath of the attack is being clarified, and strikes on warehouses near Odesa were also reported. In Nerubaiske, a village in Odesa region of Ukraine, a Nova Poshta warehouse was attacked.

Earlier, rescuers completed work at the site where a drone struck a 25-story residential building in Odesa on the night of September 12. Two people were killed then, and more than 20 were injured.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said that overnight strikes were carried out on “logistics centers through which military cargo is supplied and distributed, as well as on energy facilities ensuring their operation”. The ministry also said strikes were carried out on railway infrastructure in western Ukraine.
