Trump announces the creation of the «Super Intelligence Force» in his administration

Trump appointed U.S. Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton as head of the “Super Intelligence Force”.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Clayton said that the new group’s first task is to prepare, within 120 days, a report assessing the risks associated with AI, as well as its opportunities.

According to Clayton, in the same document the group must also provide recommendations on the possible role of the government in this area.

On September 30, Trump met at the White House with the leaders of the largest U.S. technology companies.

Following that meeting, the participants signed a document that calls for greater attention to issues of safety and control over AI.
