Trump Announces Creation of «Artificial Intelligence Forces» to Protect the Industry

Private draft

Donald Trump announced the creation of a structure called the “Artificial Intelligence Force” (AI Force), which, he said, is meant to protect AI from “destruction”. The U.S. president wrote about this in Truth Social amid debates in the country over regulating the industry and building new data centers.

Trump wrote in Truth Social that he is forming a new AI Force structure to protect artificial intelligence from “destruction”. According to him, the future of AI is under threat from the “radical left”, and Democrats intend to “destroy” it.

The U.S. president said he would not “hinder or restrain the growth of this incredible industry”, but instead would “cherish it, help it, and watch over it as it grows”. He also said he is creating “AI Forces” modeled after the Space Force, which he created during his first presidential term, and will soon appoint an AI “czar” with “an exceptionally high IQ”.

Trump added that the authorities will identify “everything bad” using the criminal and civil justice system. In the same statement, he said the “radical left” has “fabricated plenty of hoaxes” over the past few years, including topics such as men in women’s sports, Russia and Ukraine, global warming, and impeachments during his first term.

The statement came amid debates in the U.S. over how to regulate the artificial intelligence sector and whether to restrict the construction of new data centers for AI. In mid-July, New York became the first U.S. state to impose a moratorium on the construction of new data centers for AI.

In June 2026, a study by the UN University was published on the UN website, according to which by 2030 AI data centers could consume up to 945 terawatt-hours of electricity per year. The authors also noted that by the end of the decade, AI-related water consumption could equal the basic annual household needs of 1.3 billion people. In mid-September, three major American AI companies — Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google — agreed to slow the pace of artificial intelligence development due to concerns that control over it is not keeping up with the growth of its capabilities.
