Tomsk City Hall ordered mobilization training courses for five officials

The technical specification provides for in-person classes lasting 72 hours. After the course, the five municipal employees must understand the relevant regulatory framework, prepare mobilization plans and documents, and have practical skills in conducting mobilization.

Applications for the request for quotations are accepted until October 2, and the results will be announced on October 6. The maximum contract value is 170.2 thousand rubles.

According to data from the public procurement portal, Tomsk authorities have already held similar auctions in February 2025 and in March 2026. The publication also writes that the administration of the Tikhoretsky District of Krasnodar Krai is now looking for a similar contractor, where the initial contract price is 37.6 thousand rubles.

The Insider wrote that in Russia, after the State Duma elections that concluded on September 20, rumors are spreading about a new wave of mobilization. The publication says the trigger for them is mobilization exercises in the regions, reminders to employers about military registration obligations, and the appearance of an electronic registry of reservists.

Russian officials publicly deny preparations for a new wave of mobilization, and Vladimir Putin has called such reports an “information attack”.
