In July, the Investigative Committee office for the Yaroslavl region reported opening a criminal case over calls for activity against the security of the state against a suspect recognized in Russia as a foreign agent. According to the investigation, she posted text on her social media accounts that contained a call for activity aimed against Russia’s security.
What exactly was written in the post was not specified in the report. The suspect’s surname was not named in the press release, but TASS and RIA Novosti then wrote that it was Marina Skorikova.
A source for “YarNews” familiar with the course of the investigation claimed that Skorikova took part in anti-war actions. It was also said there that, according to the investigation, she created media projects together with “foreign agents”, extremist organizations, and organizations recognized as undesirable.
Skorikova appears on the YouTube channel “7x7” and heads the Reforum Space resource center in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Russia’s Ministry of Justice declared her a foreign agent in March 2026.
According to “Mediazona”, Skorikova has already been fined twice under the administrative article on violating the requirements for foreign agents, but the decisions have not yet entered into force.
