Reshetnikov said that the G20 took Russia’s proposals on wording about food trade into account

Russian Minister of Economic Development Maksim Reshetnikov told Izvestia that Russia’s proposals were taken into account at the trade meeting of the G20 countries. The discussion concerned wording proposed by the Russian side regarding food supplies.

According to the minister, the meeting participants agreed to condemn the use of food trade as an instrument for achieving political objectives. Reshetnikov clarified that this concept included not only food products, but also fertilizers, chemicals, seeds, and everything necessary for the production of food products.

In addition, services related to freight transport were included in the definition of trade. This refers to insurance and freight, that is, the fee for transporting cargo.
