Moscow’s Tverskoy District Court extended Alexey Kostylev’s detention until December 19, the Moscow court press service said. The Readovka founder is facing a case of large-scale fraud.
Kostylev’s lawyer asked to soften the preventive measure and transfer him to house arrest because of his health condition. Kostylev himself told the court that he has a serious head injury and that, according to him, there are no doctors in the pre-trial detention center.
The investigator in the case said that no medical contraindications to detention had been established. In the fall of 2024, Kostylev was involved in an ATV accident in the Smolensk region, suffered severe injuries, and was in a coma for at least two weeks.
After that, he was granted disability status. At the end of February, he was detained and then arrested in a case involving the theft of one billion rubles from the Defense Ministry in drone supplies.
