The Moscow City Court left unchanged the sentence for former senior RZD employees Alexey Savchenko, Oleg Kirillov, Denis Streltsov, and Denis Andreev. They were convicted of taking a bribe on an especially large scale by a group of persons acting in prior conspiracy.

The sentence of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow remained in force, Interfax reports.

This concerns Alexey Savchenko, Oleg Kirillov, Denis Streltsov, and Denis Andreev. They were sentenced to prison terms ranging from 8.6 to 12.6 years to be served in a high-security penal colony, and fines ranging from 36.8 million to 73.6 million rubles.

According to the FSB Public Relations Center, the bribes to the former top managers were passed by representatives of contracting organizations. The total amount of the bribe came to 7 million 365 thousand rubles.

The official representative of the Investigative Committee, Svetlana Petrenko, said that all the defendants were found guilty of taking a bribe on an especially large scale. She added that the Moscow City Court left the Basmanny District Court’s sentence unchanged.
