Ministry of Industry and Trade reported a 10.5% increase in prosthetics production in Russia over the year

This was reported to TASS by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Ekaterina Priezzheva during a session of the BioProm-2026 forum in Gelendzhik, Krasnodar Krai.

According to her, the volume of domestic production of functional components for limb prosthetics based on the results of 2025 amounted to 64,000 units of products, which is 10% higher than the previous year’s figure. In monetary terms, this volume exceeded 6 million rubles, and the increase over the year amounted to almost 16%.

The ministry separately estimated the quantitative growth of the prosthetics and orthotics segment in the domestic market at 10.5% based on the results of 2025.

The III International BioProm Forum is taking place on October 5–6 in Gelendzhik, Krasnodar Krai. At its exhibition area of 7.5 thousand square meters, around 100 companies are presenting their achievements in biotechnology, and the forum’s main theme is “An Ecosystem of High Quality of Life”.

As part of BioProm-2026, about 40 events are planned in the business program.
