“Meduza” and “Current Time” previously wrote about the close friendship between Koptenko and Medvedev Jr. They studied together at MGIMO, and journalists’ sources called Koptenko one of the two closest university friends of Medvedev’s son.
Journalists also noted that Koptenko had visited cottages used by the family of the former president. In 2016, he registered LLC “MFTK”.
The company was registered at the address of the “Black Swan” villa in Moscow’s Petrovsky Park, which was linked to the structures of his father, Ivan Koptenko Sr., and former FSB director Mikhail Barsukov. The authors of the investigation pointed out that the name MFTK may consist of the first letters of the surnames of four friends — Medvedev, Fedotov, Trufanov, and Koptenko.
“Roy.Market” was created primarily to supply Russian servicemen. In August, The Insider wrote that the platform was moved from pilot mode to full operation and opened to third-party sellers.
The marketplace catalog includes drone components, 3D printers, fiber-optic spools, antennas, chargers, and other equipment. By 2027, the assortment is planned to expand to more than 10,000 items, and the marketplace itself is being developed by the Center for Unmanned Systems and Technologies.
