Israeli law enforcement are not receiving all information from Saudi Arabia about the Flydubai incident

Private draft

Israeli law enforcement are not receiving all the requested information from Saudi Arabia about the incident involving a Flydubai aircraft that on September 30 sent a hijacking signal and then landed in Saudi Arabia. Israeli security services have launched their own investigation, and the passengers, as TASS reported citing Flydubai, were safe.

Reuters, citing Israeli sources, пишет that the Saudi side is not providing all the requested data on this episode. Israeli security services are already conducting their own investigation.

Saudi Arabian authorities previously stated that they had carried out a preliminary investigation together with law enforcement officials from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Israeli cabinet spokesman David Mencer told Fox News that after the pilots are taken to the UAE, Israeli law enforcement can join the investigative team there and receive more detailed information.

On September 30, a passenger aircraft of the Emirati airline Flydubai, operating a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv, sent a hijacking signal and then landed in Saudi Arabia. As TASS was told by Flydubai's press service, all passengers were safe.

According to Channel 12 of Israeli television, the incident was caused by a fight between two pilots, during which one of them was injured. The Ynet portal wrote that law enforcement officials are checking all available information, and Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz classified the incident as an attempted terrorist attack.
