In Warsaw, a 21-year-old woman stabbed three people near the secretariat of the TEB Edukacja vocational school complex. One 17-year-old victim was hospitalized, and two others received assistance at the scene.
A report about the attack was received by police at around 12:30, Gazeta Wyborcza reports, citing law enforcement. According to preliminary data, the woman attacked people near the secretariat of the TEB Edukacja vocational school complex in Warsaw.
The 17-year-old girl was taken to hospital with cut wounds to her forearm. Two other victims, aged 17 and 24, received assistance at the scene.
Police said the motive for the attack is still unknown. A representative of the capital’s police also said there is no information about a direct link between this case and previous attacks.
On October 7, a 19-year-old student attacked people with a knife at a technical school in Ostrołęka, and the next day a 15-year-old teenager attacked school staff in the village of Leśniedul-Nowiny. As a result of those two attacks, a 37-year-old employee was killed, two other people were injured, and nine people were affected in total.
After these events, messages appeared on social media about a so-called “Bloody Friday” allegedly planned for October 9. As Vot Tak wrote, by that date police had detained at least 41 teenagers over threats of attacks or attempts to bring weapons and dangerous items into educational institutions, and the alleged author of the “Bloody Friday” video, a 17-year-old teenager, was detained. Police said they found no signs of preparation for the event described in the video and urged people not to spread unverified information. In total, police reported 59 detainees and 172 incidents related to the safety of educational institutions, as well as inspections of more than 35,000 institutions across the country; preventive inspections will be carried out in all primary and secondary schools in Poland.
