In Vologda, 31 teenagers were detained after stealing food from a supermarket

In Vologda, police detained 31 teenagers aged 9 to 16 after a mass theft of food from a supermarket on Petina Street. Among those detained was a minor administrator of a group on one of the social networks, where a call for teenagers to gather had been posted.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Vologda Region, the duty desk of the second police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Vologda” received a report about a group of teenagers who entered a supermarket on Petina Street, stole food, and ran away.
Police clarified that they took chocolate bars, yogurts, and fruit.
Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene detained 31 participants in the incident aged 9 to 16.
Everyone was taken to the police station and questioned in the presence of their legal representatives.
Among those detained was a minor administrator of a group on one of the social networks, where a call for teenagers to gather had been posted. According to the minors themselves, they first gathered for a joint walk around the city, and the intent to steal food arose spontaneously when they were passing by the store. Police are establishing all the circumstances, the amount of damage caused, and the legal classification of what happened. Preventive talks are being held with the teenagers and their legal representatives, and the norms of criminal and administrative law are being explained. The progress of the investigation has been taken under personal control by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Vologda Region, Pavel Serov.
