In the Omsk region, a man was sentenced to 8 years in prison for killing his wife over how she sliced the lard

The regional prosecutor’s office press service said that the man fully admitted his guilt. TASS reported that the case was heard in a court in the Omsk region.

According to the agency, the spouses had been married for about 50 years. The conflict occurred during shared alcohol consumption.

The court established that in May 2026, the man stabbed his wife in the neck at least six times. According to the convicted man, he was dissatisfied with how the woman sliced the lard.

The court sentenced him to eight years of imprisonment in a high-security correctional colony. The verdict was issued in the case of the murder of a 68-year-old woman.
