A representative of the emergency services told RIA Novosti that about 40 workers were evacuated from the burning building. The Moscow Region Health Ministry said that three ambulance teams and two teams from the Disaster Medicine Center are working at the scene, and information about the injured is being clarified. The Telegram channel VCHK-OGPU claimed that a vehicle carrying hazardous cargo detonated at the plant, eight people were killed, and the fate of 30 more is unknown.
Operational services told TASS that the incident is man-made in nature, and added that no air attacks in this area had been reported. In video shot by eyewitnesses, a fiery glow and a column of smoke are visible above the enterprise. According to information from open sources, the Krasnozavodsk Chemical Plant produces cartridges and pyrotechnics.
The enterprise had already been attacked on July 7, 2025. At that time, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the plant produces thermobaric warheads for Shahed-type drones, and the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine claimed that the plant also produces explosives, gunpowder, components for ammunition, and missile weapons.
