In Moscow, security forces disrupted rapper Madk1d’s concert at the «Mesto Mesto» club and detained several people

According to “Beware, the News”, yesterday at 23:59 a concert by rapper Madk1d was supposed to take place at the Moscow club “Mesto Mesto” on Pokrovka. The performance was announced as free and timed to the club’s opening, and the line of people wanting to get into the concert stretched across several streets.

An hour before it was due to begin, security forces arrived at the club, escorted all visitors out of the building, and cordoned off the venue. Visitors said that about ten people were put into a police van and taken away.

One of those detained said in a message exchange with friends that the police used violence against her. Later, Madk1d himself wrote on his Telegram channel that the concert was canceled “for reasons beyond his control”.

According to Kommersant, one of the female visitors was told by a National Guard officer that the rapper had canceled the performance himself. The reasons for what happened are unknown, and the Interior Ministry press service had not received any information about the incident.
