JSC Bank “Dom.RF” signed a credit line agreement for work to preserve the site. The credit limit is 768 million rubles, the building area is 3 thousand sq. m, and the bank's press service clarified that the deal was approved not under a federal preferential program, but on market terms.
The project historical and architectural expertise states that the building is intended to be adapted for housing. It also says that the planned date for receiving the acceptance certificate for the completed work is the end of 2027, and the site itself, after reconstruction, should be adapted for modern use.
In spring 2025, St. Petersburg's KGIOP published an act of historical and cultural expertise stating that the house has 11 apartments and 63 rooms. The document notes the emergency condition of the roof, the unsatisfactory condition of the wooden floors, and 35% wear of the structure, and also states that the building is currently not in use.
According to the bank, the mansion has preserved stucco decor, fireplaces, tiled finishes, and elements made of natural wood. The building was rebuilt in 1872 in the eclectic style according to a design by architecture academician Ferdinand Miller, while the decorative and artistic interior finishes have been lost.
Earlier, media outlets wrote about an unsuccessful attempt to sell the property for 1.6 billion rubles. According to some experts, restoration and adaptation of the cultural heritage site may require at least 1.5 billion rubles.
