Great Britain expanded sanctions against 23 individuals and vessels of the Russian «shadow fleet»
Private draft
Great Britain expanded the sanctions list by including 23 individuals and legal entities, as well as vessels of the Russian “shadow fleet”. This was reported by the UK Foreign Office.
The new package includes tankers that transport oil and LNG. The update affected 23 individuals and legal entities, as well as vessels of the Russian “shadow fleet”.
Most of these vessels sail under the Russian flag and are directly linked to Novatek, which is engaged in gas production and is already under international sanctions. The exceptions are BEBEK-E and GALLE ENERGY: they sail under the flags of Turkey and Sri Lanka, respectively.
The gas tanker Petr Stolypin is still at the shipyard in Primorye. At the beginning of September, Vladimir Putin inspected the vessel, and it is supposed to serve Novatek’s Arctic LNG-2 project.
Another tanker from the list — Portovy — was spotted in the Baltic Sea in August accompanied by the Russian frigate Admiral Kasatonov.
