Court places Patriot Park CEO Igor Vasilyev under house arrest
Private draft
A court in Moscow has placed the CEO of Patriot Park, Igor Vasilyev, under house arrest for two months in a case involving the receipt of a particularly large bribe. According to investigators, he received 18 million rubles from the CEO of Hermes, Yevgeny Mariev.
As RBC and Ostorozhno, Novosti reported, citing sources, Vasilyev was detained on October 5. Investigators believe he received the money as a percentage of the actual payment for work under the contracts.
In 2025, Patriot Park signed contracts with Hermes for comprehensive engineering, technical, and sanitary maintenance of the park and its branch in Kronstadt worth more than 1.4 billion rubles.
Yevgeny Mariev is also under house arrest. Earlier, the court placed two deputy directors of the park — Alexey Pavlyukov and Sergey Fedosov — in pretrial detention.
Pavlyukov is suspected of receiving a particularly large bribe, and Fedosov — of particularly large-scale fraud. Igor Vasilyev headed Patriot Park in March 2026.
From September 2017 to May 2022, Vasilyev was the governor of Kirov Oblast. Before that, he headed Rosreestr, worked as an auditor for the Accounts Chamber, and represented the Komi Republic in the Federation Council.
This is not the first director of Patriot Park against whom a case has been opened. Former director Vyacheslav Akhmedov received five years in a penal colony in 2025 in a case involving fraud and official forgery.
According to investigators, Akhmedov, former deputy head of the Main Directorate for Innovative Development of the Ministry of Defense Vladimir Shesterov, and former Deputy Defense Minister Pavel Popov forged documents and stole more than 25 million rubles. It is alleged that the money was used to build a guest house and a bathhouse on Popov’s country estate.
