Court in St. Petersburg sentenced Alexey Podnebesny to three years in a penal colony

As reported by ASTRA, 48-year-old blogger Alexey Podnebesny, whom they call the “leader of incels”, received three years in a general-regime penal colony. The court found him guilty of committing lewd acts and sexual intercourse with a minor.

Investigators claim that in 2024 Podnebesny had sex with a 15-year-old schoolgirl. He partially admitted guilt and told the court that the girl had introduced herself to him as 23 years old and was not opposed to sex.

During the hearing, Podnebesny also said that he wanted to start a family with her. The prosecution asked for seven years in a penal colony for him.

Podnebesny was detained in August 2024 after a video showed him kissing a minor on the lips. After that, the head of the “Safe Internet League”, Ekaterina Mizulina, demanded that the blogger be checked for pedophilia.
