U.S. Embassy Warned of Threat at the Tsaritsyno Museum
Private draft
The U.S. Embassy in Moscow said there was a credible threat of an event with possible mass casualties on October 31 on the grounds of the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve. The museum said it had no information about the threat and that Tsaritsyno is operating as usual.
Meduza reported this, citing a U.S. Embassy post. It said diplomats had learned of a threat to the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve.
The statement also said that the U.S. government is coordinating response measures with the relevant Russian authorities. In addition, the embassy listed measures it recommends U.S. citizens follow.
Moscow and Russian authorities did not comment on the warning. The museum-reserve told the Telegram channel Mash that it had no information about the threat.
They also added that Tsaritsyno continues to operate as usual. The U.S. Embassy published a similar warning in early March 2024 — shortly before the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in the Moscow region.
