Bailiffs transferred more than a thousand gold bars and coins seized from the family of the former chairman of the Krasnodar Regional Court, Alexander Chernov, and other persons to Gokhran of Russia. This was reported in an interview with TASS by the head of the FSSP, Dmitry Aristov.
According to Aristov, the transfer took place as part of enforcement proceedings involving members of Chernov's family and other persons.
Chernov headed the Krasnodar Regional Court for 25 years — from 1994 to 2019 — and, according to TASS, now lives in Cyprus. Aristov said that Chernov turned out to be the owner of property worth 13 billion rubles.
In August last year, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, 87 real estate properties with a total value of more than 10 billion rubles were seized from Chernov. Among them were 25 land plots, 18 office premises, and 12 apartments.
At the same time, two companies were seized from him. One of them, LLC “SHP Dmitrievskoye”, owned a property complex of 100 land plots with an area of about 5,000 hectares.
In addition, 22 million rubles in cash and 36 kg of gold were turned over to the state. Among the defendants in the lawsuit were Chernov's daughter, judge of the Arbitration Court of the Krasnodar Region Anastasia Shepel, and his former wife, president of the notary chamber of the Krasnodar Region Galina Chernova.
A source in Chernov's circle previously told TASS that he had left for Cyprus and had no intention of returning. According to the source, information about the confiscation of property was conveyed to Chernov through a representative.
