Surgut Airport announced a tender for a turret mount for two machine guns
Private draft
The management of JSC “Surgut Airport” in Surgut announced a tender for the purchase of a turret mount — a module with a rotating base for mounting a machine gun. The documents state that the enterprise needs a turret system for two paired machine guns with a thermal imaging sight, a monitor for remote use, and an external uninterruptible power supply; it was estimated at 909 thousand rubles.
This was reported by Radio Liberty, and the procurement was noticed by the Sibir.Realii project.
The Ust-Luga administration of the Northwestern Basin Branch of FSUE Rosmorport, responsible for port security in Ust-Luga, placed a procurement worth 8.9 million rubles for three turrets for a machine gun with a thermal imaging sight and a monitor. The port of Ust-Luga has been repeatedly attacked by Ukrainian drones.
JSC Kolymaenergo purchased a turret for a Degtyaryov light machine gun, which will be used by fighters of mobile fire groups. The procurement is intended for a facility in the settlement of Sinegorye in the Yagodninsky District, where the Kolyma Hydroelectric Power Station is located; at the same time, the Magadan Region has not yet been attacked by Ukrainian drones.
In November, the Angarsk Electrolysis Chemical Combine, part of Rosatom, also announced a procurement for the purchase of a turret mount. In May 2026, RBC, citing a source, reported that Russian businesses were allowed to buy weapons to defend against enemy UAVs, and the list included electronic warfare systems, drone interceptors, turrets, and artillery.
Amid attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2026, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree allowing critical infrastructure facilities to be transferred to state management if the owners failed to provide protection against drones and other threats or did not restore the facility after an attack. The document applies to fuel and energy, utilities, transport and logistics infrastructure, as well as industry; at the same time, the authorities stated that this does not mean a change in ownership form.
